  2. You can also see your account's status at My Account - > Price Plans / Upgrade.

(2) Can I still work while my account is inactive (no credits, missed monthly payment)?

  1. 1. If your account is inactive, you can still make campaigns and view reports, but you can only send campaigns to yourself (Email campaigns > STEP 4 > Test Letter).
  2. 2. If you are a Pay as You Go member, you can work with the system for as long as you have credit points left.

(3) What are email credits?

  1. 1. Email credits are for Mailigen users who want to send less than a single campaign a month.
  2. 2. You can prefer the email credit plan if you have either a very small or a very large client list.
  3. 3. Email credits basically work like this: you spend credit points by sending emails. 1 email credit = 1 sent email.

(4) What benefits do I get with the Pro User add-on?

  1. 1. You will be able to specify more than a single sender name, and more than a single sender email;

  3. 3. You will also be able to customize the footer. These fields, however, stay mandatory even with the Pro User add-on: (add them with Merge Tags)

    b) Company address / #[LIST:ADDRESS]#
    c) Campaign sender / #[CAMPAIGN:SENDER_NAME]#
    d) Unsubscribe URL / #[UNSUB]#

(12) Why do I get a warning that says that these merge fields are missing: #[CAMPAIGN:SENDER_NAME]#, #[UNSUB]#, #[LIST:ADDRESS]# ?

The warning was generated because:

  1. 1. You have a Pro User Add-On which allows you to remove default email footer.
  2. 2. You have unchecked "Include default footer" in STEP 4 of email campaign wizard.
  3. 3. See the ‘What benefits do I get with the Pro User add-on?' part of our help.

If you get this alert, it means you have to add 3 required merge tags to the email footer at the bottom of your email. This information is required as part of CAN-SPAM ACT rules. Required information has to be included in both HTML and Plain Text email versions.

Following code placed in the email footer will pull in necessary information:
#[CAMPAIGN:SENDER_NAME]# - Sender name shown in the account contact information.
#[LIST:ADDRESS]# - Full address of the sender.
#[UNSUB]# - Unsubscribe link.

To manually add these tags in your email, you can place mouse cursor where needed and use merge tag drop down menu in the editor to add these tags as well in the footer of your email. You have to include clear Unsubscribe link text in all your emails.

If you choose to add required signature block to your email from the alert window, it will include following text links that are recommended, but not required and you may delete them if not necessary:

  • Why am I receiving this email?
  • Update your profile
  • Forward to a friend

(13) What will happen to pictures when the additional library service is cancelled?

If you have purchased the ‘Additional library space' add-on, the images will be purged to 10Mb after 7 days.

(14) Why can't I buy smaller database plan or downgrade account? Announcement appears in the payment section „You cannot reduce the plan".

- You cannot downgrade because you have more contacts than lower account can accommodate.

- To buy a smaller plan, you must reduce contacts till the number of corresponding monthly plan you want to purchase.

- If you do not want to delete contacts, you can switch your account to pay-as-you-go or email credits (minimum of 1000 email credits) and upload unlimited number of contacts.

* With one email credit you can send email marketing campaign to one email address.

(15) Permission Reminder URL / #[LIST:URL]#

Use this tag to automatically remind the recipients as to how they ended up recieving emails from you by URL.
You can edit this information by editing the list. http://admin.mailigen.com/contacts ( Edit)
