To see if your inserted Merge tags are working is now possible with the Email Preview option, which you can access from the 5th Step of Email Campaign Wizard. Just hover over the Email Campaign Image and two options will appear:
- Email Preview - Shows a preview of the created email campaign
- Email Inbox Preview - If you want to know more about Email Inbox Preview you can read the support article "What is Email Inbox Preview?"
To see if the inserted Merge tags are working click on the Email Preview button. This action will open a new window in which an Inbox version of your newsletter will be shown.
To fill in the Merge tags all you have to do is simply click on the Show Data button which is located at the bottom of the Email Preview.
By clicking on this button the system will add the information from the list assigned to the campaign. This information will be then added to the Merge Tags. This way you can make sure that the proper Merge Tags have been used and no information is missing in your lists. This is how it looks when the Merge tags have been filled.
This view is now with the Merge Tags taking information from the list to which the campaign is going to be sent. There are two buttons displayed:
- Hide Data - This will hide the data which is displayed in the Merge Tags
- Next - will switch to the next contact in your list to show the contact information in the Merge Tags
Note: The marked numbers in the middle are showing the first 10 subscribers from your list.
